About me

I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in a humble but talented family. My first influence in drawing came when I was 6-7 years old. I remember attempting to replicate a painting of a dog that was next to the house number where we lived. This dog had been painted by one of my uncles, who also had a passion for the art of painting.

As I entered adolescence, I took some drawing classes at the church I attended and realized that this was a profession I wanted to pursue. These classes served as the foundation for me to receive professional instruction in the art of drawing and painting at the Fine Arts School of Santo Domingo.

At the age of 20, I moved to the USA, where I continued to explore painting with oil and watercolor techniques. Over time, I came to realize that my heart truly belonged to watercolor.

I took private watercolor classes with the painting professor Hangel Montero, who helped me discover the essence of color in watercolor, enabling me to achieve a purer and more professional touch in my artwork.
